Reflections of the year

The dream became a reality for Global Oak Tree Scholars (GOTS) in 2019.

When we started in January 2018, the goal was to have our secondary campus in place by the end of that year – and we did it with months to spare.

Our numbers, as expected, have grown so much — such has been the success of GOTS and all that it represents.

We held our second annual concert this year – in our brand new multipurpose hall, complete with a fantastic sound system and stage lights.

Our performance of ‘Once Upon A Journey’, a retelling of the classic Aladdin tale, wowed the parents and those in attendance.

Our Sports Carnival also received a big thumbs up from everyone as the parents got involved in more games than the previous year.

And who could forget our lovely coaches performing a traditional Indian dance for Deepavali, singing Christmas carols and other performances during the festive season.

The biggest cheer was for our Teachers Day celebration when our coaches were all decked out in their best attire for a ‘fashion show’.

Our primary scholars too shone away from school with seven of them competing in the International Heros Taekwondo Cup, Johor Hibiscus Open Dancesport Championship and 7th Total Gym International Gymnastics Tournament winning a total of 13 medals.

Secondary scholar Maryam Mahmud won a gold medal at Skate Malaysia – one of the biggest ice skating competitions in the region.

We are certain the school and our scholars will continue to shine bright in 2020.

Thanks for the memories.
